At Cow Green you can be blown away by the empowering view of the Pennine Way, which you can also link onto for a peaceful moorland walk. Follow the footpath to Cauldron Snout to see the spectacular waterfall and watch out for the brilliant views of the dam wall. Part of the reservoir walk is a protected nature reserve so please do not stray from the footpaths. This is an excellent spot for bird watching and great for a spot of wild brown trout fishing. Cow Green has some of the darkest skies in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a site any enthusiast must-visit for some spectacular night sky views.
